Since the release of Ulduar Iacta Alea Est has worked steady on the progression even though our news site has been "dead". 2 days before the release of patch 3.2 and a new 25 man instance, we're happy to announce that we made Yogg-Saron bit the dust before he got nerfed!

Thanks to everyone in the guild that have contributed to our progress. A special thanks to our main Raidleader and 2nd best hunter in our guild; Torrent . Also a special thanks to Jet from NWG for helping out, we all love you . Iacta Alea Est is happy to announce that all content in WotLK is cleared! Our main goal was to clear all content and to kill Sartharion 3D before Ulduar, and we're very satisfied to once again reach the goal we have had!

A special thanks to Torrent for leading us (and finally doing his MD's correct  ) and to all members that have contributed in the learning prosess all the way!

It was silent here since Illidan kill, but we are still in game. Not that we are just in game itself, but we managed to clear all raiding instances in old good 2008 (Malygos kill @ 30.12.2008). Grats guys and happy farming until Ulduar :)

After a "bumpy" summer with low signups and problems with getting any progression at all our dear guild finally made Illidan bite the dust!
 

The kill is a confimation on one of our biggest strenght: Sticking together in thick and thin! A special thanks to Keron, our newly promoted Guild Master and raidleader! His dedication, skills and patience has lead us to this kill and also rewarding him with a very much deserved Warglaive of Azzinoth !

making my first news update, we downed Reliquary of Souls on Monday 21.04.08 and is now one step closer to The Betrayer...Keep up the good work all!

After 2 weeks of tries Archimonde have met /dev/null position ;) It means that we have cleared Hyjal Summit also called Mount Hyjal. Additionally by killing Teron Gorefiend in Black Temple we moved to 4/9 and are getting close to next final boss - Illidan. Grats guys :)

There is time to write something new about our progress :) During last 2 months we managed to get Kaelthas and completly move to MH and BT. Right now we are progressing in BT and preparing for Archimonde by farming 4/5 MH and 3/9 BT. I hope that we will kill Illidan before exp. pack :) and even see some sunwell :> Keep up the work and stay tuned for more loots :D

Close to 1 week and 3 raids after we got enough people attuned for Mount Hyjal we managed to kill the first 3 bosses. The last SSC raid will be in next reset and we are also aiming to do 1 more TK raid before we switch focus to MH and BT only!

After 2-3 weeks of learning the encounter we finaly managed to break last obstacle before Mount Hyjal and Black Temple :) Now we will clear our way for Archimonde and Illidan :>

After weeks of training we finally managed to clear SSC by killing Lady Vashj. While we were at it we also got another new kill under our belts by getting down Al'ar! A special thanks to Keron from all of us since he have done the hardest work; Leading the majority of our raids! :-)

18.11 - next boss downed on our way to Black Temple. This time it was High Astromancer Solarian.

Today we have downed the blind noob. I have no idea how he can be hitting us while he is blind?? :D. Grats all

At last after 4 days of wiping we managed to kill the bastard. Grats all that participated in the raid

As some of you noticed, thanks to Shinobu we have new sign up system. That means that if you have problems with signing up,

plz go to "My panel" -> edit char properties and choose proper build/class role

you are playing.

Also not so long ago we managed to kill Morogrim Tidewalker, one of SSC bosses. Now we are focused to get all killed bosses @ farm status and to kill Fathom-lord and Blindman to have open way to Vashj :)

After an evening of prolonged exertions, Iacta Alea Est have downed the first boss in Serpentshrine Cavern, Hydross the Unstable.

After several hours of stubborn resistance from the Water Elemental, he realized he had only one option: to surrender to the team of great guys and girls who showed their determination and willpower throughout the evening. The team who has been trying so hard in the last weeks, to get past the first hurdle. Hydross has now fallen and the rest of the instance is on our doorsteps.

Our next goal will be to slay the Lurker, a seemingly easier fight than Hydross. I hope to see you all soon in our next adventures throughout Serpentshrine Cavern. Get ready for our next kill!

This week our Guild Master decided to step down and hand over the crown to the ubernub Damokles. The wow community questions Damokles' experience, as he has only played wow for 1 1/2 year. Asking former members we get different responses.

Ztevieboy (Former HPR MT):"He's a gnome. Nuf said. I wanna have a threesome with Damokles and Morlondiel, you know, feel the power between my gnomes"

Melody (Former member):"I can't take it, wtf!!!! Damokles as a guild master?? wtf!!! I mean wtf!!!!!"

IAE members refused to give a statement, and it is believed they might have been threatened with /gkick or /nutkick by Damokles. I also must mention, free press is not a sure thing in IAE anymore, and if this reporter is found floating in a river somewhere in the near future, please call 911 and tell them "Damo did it!".

Stand up fellow comrades, and let's overthrow this dictatorship! An ingame military coup is the ONLY way for us to be free!!!

Although some of the stuff have been IAE rules for some time now, i just wanted to post this post Komplexicar made. Its basicly "doh" stuff, but since some new members might not know them here we go:

• All classes with healing capabillities bring your healing gear with you just in case.
• Everyone in the raid should have a batch of healing potions. its usually the difference between life and death.
• If we are to down Gruul today I want ppl to come with a clear mind and that you read up on the encounter.
• Logg in an hour or so before the raid to fix your connection problem if you have any.
• Shortages like afk and brb, is up to their word only supposed to be less then 5 mins.
• Dont go afk between the wipes to allow for a quick and effective restart.
• Its allright not to be on TS if your deaf, not otherwise.
  
  Be prepared!

Blizzard has stated an warning to all World of Warcraft player. It seems there has been another outbreak of posts on the official WoW forums that point to a keylogger.
Take alot of caution when browsing forums and downloading addons/links.

New Warning

Some awesome news from the blizzard hotfix team! It seems Gruul was deemed a bit too hard for an "entry-level attunement" boss. So he was hotfixed!

One of the best fixes has to be the "shatter" nerf. Where he once did 10.000 damage for each full shatter, you now only do around 1k damage to each person.

This will help us alot, because Gruul was looking like an very hard encounter. So get your gear back out of the closet, stock up on flasks and potions, iae is going to gank some half-ogre ass!

So download the latest addons from the download section and sigh up!.

Been a long time since an update. I guess we should use this option alot more.
Anyway, a quick update, we downed High King maulger over 3 weeks ago, which was an awesome fight. Untill now we have been doing attempts at Gruul, but unfortunatly Gruul is really a bitch ass fights ;)

To try and make this fight a bit easier i changed the Addon pack for Bigwigs a bit. I rewrote the C'Thun addon and added BigWigs_RangeAssist. This addon shows players how close they are standing next to each other.

Unfortunatly it only shows up to 11 yards and not 20, but it does make it a tad easier ;)

Class wise a lot of stuff happened as well. Arilea and Valeronsidhe are both playing it slow. Arilea because of a promotion (gratz btw!) and Valeronsidhe because of school.

I have taken up the role myself to lead the Hunters and Paladins untill we can find a new class leader!

So, everyone please update your BigWigs with the one from the website. Even if you are using an newer version, download it from this website and only extract the RangeAssist because it really helps!
Paladins should really get PallyPower in case they dont have it!.

Under the leadership of our very first level 70 Filthie, some of our most eager players have started to raid in Karazhan.

The progress has been awesome so far, killing up to 5 bosses already.
Because of this i updated all the raid addons at the download section, so please update your stuff if you want to join them!

As you might have noticed, the website has been using a new design for over a week now. This design will be almost the same for guilds that want to use oRs and get an website at wow-raids.net! Like before, please whisper, pm or email me with ANY suggestion for the website!

There now is a new download section for all of our members. Check there once or twice a week to see if there are any new addons you might need. I will say this again ONLY INSTALL 1 RAID ASSIST ADDON! So that means either oRA or CTRA! oRA itself is alot better then CTRA but isnt a complete package, you would either need Detox and a raid frame addon to make it complete!

Just a small update for all IAE users, new and old. We have been having some problems with KTM Threat meter and Bigwigs not showing bars correctly. These errors happen because everyone has different versions of all addons. Because of that a small update with links to get the latest versions!

Dont forget, we are NOT using CTRA Bossaddons, only bigwigs so you can simply delete or disable the CTRA Bossaddons.

Note to all members only install either CTRA OR oRa. DONT INSTALL BOTH! They both do exactly the same, although CTRA has a decurser and Raidframes build in. So read up, if you arent sure and havent used oRa before, just stick to CTRA!

The awesomeness of the IAE never stops.. Last AQ40 raid we managed to gank Battleguard Sartura in only 3 tries, we ganked Franksiss in about 5/6 tries (damn those Spawns of Franksiss!)
The progress so far has been great and we have been going on like a rocket in space. But ofcourse we dont want to hit that brick wall at the end of the road so we need everyone do to their part!

What we have noticed from last weeks Nefarian attempt is that we are slacking a bit on fights. We are getting the idea we pwn all but in some cases this isnt really the case. Even though Nefarian is still a very hard fight, whiping is nothing to be ashamed off. But! we still have to come prepared to Nefarian, flasks for the entire raid is not needed anymore, but the cheaper but still raid improving stuff still helps alot! The fights is long, so bring your mana regenerating potions, nightfin soup and perhaps even a flask of wisdom. Dps classes can use all AP and crit increasing food and casters can take some brilliant wizard oil for the much needed spellpower.
This isnt just needed at Nefarian but also at the bosses in AQ, The prophet skeram was downed in 1 attempt again after the entire raid did nefarian which kinda shows we can pwn him easily. Perhaps the buffs or perhaps it was the concentration, who knows, i know i want to keep it up!

19 days since the start of the IAE.
20 bosses down in high end instances.
70 guild members in Trial and Main.
356 signups for all raids.
1000+ rp spend on new epics.

All in all ALOT of numbers, but these numbers all show we have been making ALOT of progress. From the Nefarian kill in 1 night to the whipe night (and kill!) in Ahn\'Qiraj! Its awesome that we managed to come so far so quickly with new and old members! The trials i have seen in action so far are awesome, especially in AQ40 during the whipes.

The progress of the IAE is very nice, but as you guys may understand is that we arent quite as ready for Naxxramas as we might have though before. We are gonna aim for atleast Sartura in AQ40, because this fight prepares us for Naxx alot.

If you have read the i made about Player skills in the IAE Forums you might get an idea what i mean by this. Sartura is a heavy fight, alot of things are going on at the same time which requires everyone to do their own thing. So be sure to prepare yourself with potions, bandages, Flasks or anything else you can think of and read up on all tactics.

I am very happy to say the start of Iacta Alea Est is very good. The first two raids we have done so far have gotten us awesome results, the first one, to blackwing lair, was a 1 night raid all the way up to chromaggus.
Not only that but we only whiped once in the entire raid, and that was because of a minor mistake of a new player!
The seconds night we ganked Nefarian in only three tries and went on to AQ40 where we shows the true IAE spirit by ganking Prophet skeram on the first (real) try ever! After whiping thrice on Battleguard sartura a couple of times we called it a night, but still an awesome raid indeed!

With regards to the website, thanks to all the players that submitted bugs. The login bug is still being worked on, somehow the cookie isnt saving properly. The signup problems at the start were fixed by you guys as well, because i had no idea they were there. But like last news post, keep all suggestions, whines, improvement or notes coming, i welcome ANY note about the website!

Two more raids have been posted by me for next week, one to blackwing lair and the other one a "generic" 40m raid. This is too fill up BWL if needed and to gank another instance! So dont expect to leave after we gank BWL, its a full raid!

Regarding activation, all class leaders have the ability to activate an character to be able to join raids. So stop bugging me with it! (;p)
New raid leaders will be assigned tonight as well, so prepare for some more raids in the system.

Welcome to the new raiding website for Iacta Alea Est! Even though it might not look much, the engine powering the site is ALOT more powerfull this time and very robust as well.

I tried to make the website as intuitive as possible. Even so, i have gotten some remarks that people could not find stuff. wow-raids.net will be a service guilds can use to use the same system we are using right now. For IAE this always will be free, the same as any guild formerly known as the HPR.

For new users, click on login, then you see a small link at the bottom that says register. After you have registered you can login the website and create a character.

At the right column you see a text: 'No active character selected'. Click on this to go to your panel. After you create a character make sure to activate it by clicking on the Red cross in your panel. After this send a PM to me (shinobu) so i can activate your acount to the proper level you are allowed!

Please bare with me untill i finish all the other stuff, alot is already done but still needs to be implemented into the website.

Any, and i mean ANY remarks, suggestions or just whines can be posted on the forum and through PM, i would VERY much want this from ANY member because i have to make this a polished as possible!
