Hi, I don't know if your recruitment status is currently on hold until the Level 70's begin emerging, but I thought it worthwhile posting this application now just in case it was open,  or at the very least to highlight my interest in your guild at this early stage before the new endgame begins.

Character Applying:-
Name  Kaine
Race  Human
Class Paladin
Born 19/12/06
Current level 70
Professions Alchemy 350, Herbalism 375, First Aid 375, Cooking 350 Fishing 180
Talents 50 Holy, 11 Protection 0 Retribution.  This spec is a raid healing spec, which includes the lovely Blessing of Kings.

Person Applying:-
Name  Chris
Gender  Male
Race  Human
Class Very!
Age  30
Location  Birmingham, UK

Gear:-
Being a very new char, the gear I had gathered @ 60 has been completely replaced by the new TBC quest items, so there's nothing super special to highlight at present, I can currently reach about 700+Healing with the gear I have but am looking to improve this all the time.  Therefore I haven’t made a CTProfile as yet due to the speed at which items are being replaced.  I must add, although gear plays a large part of the game - I personally believe the player behind the gear is far more important!

Experience:-
Have played the game hardcore since Retail launch, not including Naxx I have seen & killed every boss in game.  In Naxx I have killed the 1st 7 bosses (the guild I was in cleared Naxx though) before raiding stopped cos of TBC.
PvP, attained rank 13 on 1 of my characters. (never again going hardcore pvp!)
Also have been an alt-o-holic, with 6 characters @ LvL 60. So I know the mechanics & expectations for most classes, the classes I've played in order are:-
  • Tauren Shaman
  • Undead Priest
  • Orc Hunter
  • Undead Rogue
  • Human Warrior
  • Gnome Mage
Obviously all this experience is now obsolete with the new expansion, but I'm looking forward to experiencing every aspect of the new content, with Hardcore PvE top of the list.

WoW History:-
As mentioned I started this great game back on retail launch (Feb'05) on the Horde side of Twilights Hammer & have played it relatively hardcore ever since.  This was my 1st Mmorpg I'd ever played & I was hooked from day one.
The guild I joined with all my Horde Char’s was ‘The Dark Realm’ a casual family gaming guild that’s been around for 8years in various Mmorpgs, & is still going strong. The guild was great fun & helped me to enjoy the social aspect of the game, but after about a year I realized the casual attitude within the guild wasn’t how I wished to play the game, so when the server Vek’nilash was opened I decided to re-roll Alliance for the 1st time. There I joined a hardcore guild called ‘Windwalkers’.
However just before Xmas the guild decided to disband prior to TBC (leadership wanted a break from leading etc), which although was sad to see, was understandable as we had been raiding hardcore for almost a year solid.  At this point I took the decision to quit WoW & gave my account to a RL friend.
I managed to stay off the game for a whole week before the bug kicked in, but in the end I knew I wanted to play TBC so came back.
My RL mate offered the game back to me, but having 6 great characters is more of a headache than a joy, since you can’t make your mind up which to play & with Blizzard constantly buffing different classes – you often find yourself wanting to change to play the new imba class to see what buffs they’ve been given.
So I chose to re-roll a new class I’d never played before & on a different server so I couldn’t see how my old char’s were doing & this is how I’ve ended up here on Tarren Mill with my new Paladin. It’s truly refreshing having only one character again & I’m 100% certain that I never intend to start a new Alt.

Why choose Iacta Alea Est:-
If i'm being 100% honest, I’ve done searches on most of the guilds & looked at the general numbers online at peak times & your guild seems to have a fairly decent amount logged on with good class balances too.  I also noted that you don’t have the normal 7-8 paladins logged on & hope that you aren’t overcrowded with this class currently.

Previous Guilds:-
I purposely didn’t join any guild whilst leveling from 1-60, because of TBC release & the effect it would have on most guilds.
I also planned not to join any guild until I was 70, but for the purpose of getting to know a few more people on the server I joined ‘Focus’ when I was about LvL 65.
However the majority of the guild was recruited via general spam adverts & only yesterday the Guild master (Sedai) decided to leave & about 20 members followed him with /gquitting. The guild has since had 3 new guild leaders, each of whom have quit shortly after too. Therefore the future of the guild looks bleak.

Why should Iacta Alea Est recruit you:-
Well as I’ve already stated, I enjoy playing the game hardcore & if permitted will have a high attendance record for all raids.
I will always come prepared for everything that is planned & have already chosen Alchemy to supply my raiding needs. (I intend to specialize in Elixirs)
I am mature, friendly & enjoy playing as a team.

I also firmly believe that the guild needs should come before the needs or greed of any individual, & I will do whatever it takes to help the progress of my chosen guild.

Conclusion:-
Well if you’ve made it this far, I applaud you!  Roll Eyes

On a serious note, if you feel you have room for one more Paladin who loves to heal & who will give 100% for the guild, then I would love to be a part of your community & I hope to speak to you shortly

Hi Kaine!

Even though we are not raiding yet -we still need to get a lot of players to level 70, such as myself- your application is a very nice one. You sound like a very decent person and I am most willing to give you a Trial. You won't have much to prove yet of course, but I hope you will fit into our guild well. Time will tell. Please contact any IAE member ingame and ask for a guild invite. Tell them that I have officially accepted you and refer to this topic if need be. I have been very busy lately and I will be for just a few more days.

Kind regards,
Valeron

Welcome to the guild Kaine!

It always pleases me to see true healadins around, and especially at the moment the ranks of paladins have dried out. Just a little warning though, we arent as hardcore as some other guilds, sure we have alot of hardcore players, but the raiding follows a more casual profile with 3 main raid nights a week and 2 more nights as off days, allthough the raiding schedule for TBC havent been set into pieces yet. If its the 7 raids a week guild you are looking for, IAE might not be the best option, as we dont permit players to raid with other guilds on content we are still farming ourselves. I hope our guild profile suits you, and when you get a guildinvite you will see what a friendly and welcoming guild we are  Smiley
