Guys, for a few days now I've been having this incredible irritating pop-up. All of a sudden internet explorer (even though I don't use it, I surf with Opera but use ie for video's etc.) pops up and goes to www.whyusewindows.com. It happens every 30 minutes or so and I'm about to throw the PC out the window.

I've tried ad-aware, pop-up stopper and I am running avast 24/7.

Anyone know what this shit is and/or how to stop it? I don't find any help when I search for it. I got one hit for a forum page (in german) indicating that others might be having the same shit on their computer.

Use an anti virus program with firewall to block it, the firewall should pick it up.

hmm I've got an interesting theory:

Assuming u have IE and another browser, letsay firefox.
Every1 knows firefox protects most popups so they will use firefox.
You, Esga, will use IE for ur gnomish porn or whatever because nobody uses IE anyway!
This way nobody will click your gnomish links by accedent! Tongue
