The expansion will have to have some changing stuff for me to stay long term after it, I'm amazingly bored at the repetitiveness in WoW, the never ending grind.

Been playing my necromancer up to level 19 now, and so far it's been awesome. It has a much more interesting atmosphere than WoW, and the quests arent as repetitive either. It's still too early to say anything about how the end game will be, but seems like the people playing are really enjoying it so far.

If you asked me, when LOTRO came out I would have said pretty much the same
I played a Guardian up to lvl 24. Then I stopped
many WoW players say that lotro is a bad game
well suprise I actully thought it was nice and all BUT during the long time Blizzard did bound me to WoW I got a huge network of ingame friends(with other words a community) and LOTRO wasnt able to do that... I think in the future online games that the biggest barrier to make sure players feel "home" when they log on
not fancy graphics
eventhough OMFG AoC is a pretty game to look at
So for you AoC peeps, try it have funfun... and know WoW is ur home arena like it or not...Muhahaaa

In deed that is what WoW is about for my part, the social aspect in IAE and the end game raids. Farming up is just a thing you have to do to be able to perform your best in raids, say what you want but I don't think AoC has the power to attract a base over such a period as wow have. The grass always seem greener on the other side but give it a month or two and we'll see.
I should delete all AoC posts from the forum btw... gief more sign ups to the real deal wow end game raiding !

I am in the Beta of AoC and I most say its very impressive:) But thers a huge BUT!!!!
Quote for my DxDiag:
Operating System: Windows Vista™ Ultimate
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6300 @ 1.86GHz (2 CPUs), ~1.9GHz
Memory: 2046MB RAM
Card name: Radeon X1600 Series Memory: 1022 MB
and Arghhhh on lowest resulution the game still require too much :S
So if u wanna try it my advise is :
Memory: 2046MB RAM
Upgrate to atleast 3k
NB, got a teori that its becouse of my Windows Vista™ Ultimate, I think its useing too much Ram. But no matter when I got a bit extra money Im gonna update the rams
"Upgrade" to Windows XP and get a new video card, and you should be golden : )

If you have a DirectX 10 compatible 3D card you should stick to Vista though.

Baah, forget AOC, I really cant dedicate any more time to games, and I still enjoy WOW, especially gearing up my other chars and the end-game raids
Hope the new expansion will bring new innovative stuff, otherwise even though I like it, many will leave the game and it won't be as interestnig --> forced to leave it as well in that case!
