hehe funny stuff  Grin

But when thats said, I havent joined any raid in the last 1 month if the raidleader were building he/shes raid on gearscore...

funny thing many players allso forget about gearscore... The points aint even on all classes, some classes just cant get as high a gearscore as fast as some others.

Good exaple:
Combat Rogue vs Fury Warrior

A Fury warrior can easy have below average gear to have a high gearscore (Dual with 2x2h Axes or any 2 handed weapon = around 900 (gearscre for each weapon)

Combat Rouge, dual lets say 2x1h weapon = (gearscore around 400 for each weapon)

Its is just a clear example... something like the same goes for many other classes.

------------------------------------------------
I say boycut Gearscore, let the raidleaders who build therer raid on pure gearscore know you do not approve (I know it can be difficult if your gs aint too high... but its the only way to get this crappy no good addon trashed)
------------------------------------------------

again nice comic strip Cheesy

Hehehe...

...well imo GS is something good as long as you know how it works and are aware of the flaws with it. It gives you an indication of the gear lvl the person you're inspecing has, without having to go through every single piece of equipment and without having to know every single thing about a class or specc. This is incrediable time consuming, so the addon is very nice for people that take the time and effort to create something so little tempting as a PuG. I perfectly well can understand why they use it, but I do ofc find it very disappointing when they reject a person that is missing 100 gear points but have the required achievements and you clearly can see that they have selected gear that is better with low gearscore then gear that is worse but with higher gearscore  Wink

That said, it's much smarter to post link achievement and come to Eventide for inspection then to post link achievement and gs. You'll see the gs either way and as a RL starting a PuG, you have already create some sort of "gear requirement" in your mind so it's much better to do a quick inspect and look at the whole image where gs is a small part of the total picture then to just look @ achi and gs. Take a bit more time but usually worth it in the end  Wink

IF a RL of a PuG don't understand that missing 100 gear points but has the achievement is np, then you're better of not raiding with that group imho. Says more about the RL then you and if the RL is sooooo clever (aka not so smart), the raid is likely to fail anyways. In other words, it might be a good thing to be redjected from a noob RL  Cheesy

Arilea, see exatcy what you say above is the big missunderstanding.... see even with gs, you as raidleader have to inspect (players have figured to put for instance pvp items on them since it got a high gs vs there pve gear = miss info)

If you like a Addon that helps as raidleader in PuGs get Elitist Group Smiley
Now that helps..check it here i fu dunno it : http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info15573-ElitistGroup.html

Read again please. GS is a small part of an bigger picture. It gives an indication so you can skann through the gear a bit quicker then if you had no GS addon  Wink
